May 8, 2025 – A Recipe Inspired by a Book

Have you ever wanted to get a taste of one of the dishes enjoyed by the characters in your favorite books?  Here’s your chance. There is no shortage of books containing memorable and mouth watering descriptions of food. Examples that jump to mind: Fried Green Tomatoes from Whistle Stop Café by Fannie Flagg, Skillet Cornbread from Little House on the Prairie by Laura Ingalls Wilder or Ham Salad from Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. With this in mind, in May our cooking club will choose a recipe inspired by a book. Bring your love of books together with your love for cooking and make a recipe to share.
