  The month of May brings a fun challenge to our cooking club members.  The theme is “Roll It Up”.  So let your imagination run wild as we explore dishes that are rolled, filled, wrapped, or stuffed. Think main dishes like Chicken Cordon Bleu (chicken breasts stuffed with ham and cheese) or desserts such as Rugelach (cookies made with Phyllo Dough filled with jams or nuts). I am sure our talented cooking club members will come up with wonderful dishes to prepare and share.

  As a reminder to all, there is a $20 buy in and the evening is played as a tournament. There is a cash prize for 1st and 2nd place (based on the number of participants) and 3rd place will get their $20 back.

  American mahjong, also  spelled mah jongg, is a variant of the Chinese game mahjong. Mahjong is a tile based game of strategy and skill that is enormously popular. The goal of the game is to be the first, by picking and discarding, to match one's tiles to a specific hand from the annually distributed scorecard.

  We will be meeting at different members' homes twice a month (at night). The first meeting will be for those who know how to play and do not need any assistance (questions are ok). We will be playing for money on this night only – save your quarters and nickels! The second monthly meeting will be open to everyone who wants to play or learn to play.

  Let's get together and support the debut party at The Granite! There will be a ton of family-friendly activities. Indoor and outdoor stages will showcase a variety of musical guests, and our community rooms will feature visual art exhibits from local artists and artist talks. Kids' activities include Kids’ Arts & Crafts, Kids Dance Seminar, Musical Instrument Discovery Zone, Hair Tinsel, Paint a Rock, Lawn Games, Costume Station, and more. We will plan to meet around 2:30 right before the Kids' Dance Seminar.
